Practices begin the week of September 19, 2011
One-hour practices will be held during the week. Sometime during the practice a devotion leader will share a short devotion and prayer time with the children. We encourage parents/grandparents/siblings/guardians to also join us for this time of devotion and prayer. At the end of each practice the child will receive a card with the bible verse for the next weeks practice. The scripture learning time is a group activity; therefore, children are not required to recite the verse individually at practice, but we do encourage you to take time during the week to review the scripture verse with your child. Each child participating in the scripture learning time will receive a green star award.
Games will begin Saturday, October 8, 2011 and run 7 weeks
Games consist of two 18-minute halves (three six-minute periods) with an 8-minute halftime.
As a parent, you play a very important role in building the self-esteem and confidence of not only your child, but of every child in this league. Players will look up to their parents and coaches as models for sportsmanship, respect for authority and positive attitudes.
