This coming Sunday, August 28th, 2011, NEWS 25 is asking us as a congregation to join the American Cancer Society’s fight against cancer for a Congregations vs. Cancer Sunday.
On this day, they are asking us as a church to pray for a cure for cancer and ask for a special offering to go 100% towards cancer research.
NEWS 25 Anchor Shelley Kirk, is a breast cancer survivor. She will be speaking as a part of our worship experience this coming Sunday August 28, 2011 at our 10:45 service.
NEWS25 hopes that through this step of faith by you and our church and the work done through the American Cancer Society that more lives will be saved, more birthdays will be celebrated with friends and families, and that one day soon we will no longer hear the words “You have cancer.”
