Blessings for a New Year

As I write this, 2009 is quickly coming to a close. Like most of life, 2009 has been a mixture of ups and downs. Many of us have had opportunity for great celebrations while there have also been times of sadness and frustration.

The one thing that has remained consistent throughout the ups and downs of life is that Community Baptist Church is there for you. That is the nature of our church family. When something good happens in the life of your family, we celebrate your good fortune with you with genuine joy. When the dark side of life presents itself, we want to be there to help hold you up and give you strength.

I am glad to be a part of such a great congregation that works together for the good of each individual as well as for the good of the whole. It is God’s plan for a healthy community of faith.

As we begin this new year together I hope one of your resolutions will be faithful attendance and service with Community Baptist Church. We truly need each other to maximize our own fulfillment in life…and to maximize our ministry for Christ.

My prayer, is that 2010 will be the best year yet for Community Baptist Church, and that all of God’s blessings will fill you and your family to overflowing.
