GED and Adult Education

Community Baptist Church is pleased to serve as the home of Henderson County’s Adult Education and GED Program, operated by the West Kentucky Educational Cooperative (WKEC).

Located on our church campus, this program provides adults in Henderson County with opportunities to earn their GED, improve workplace skills, strengthen English language proficiency, and prepare for college or career advancement.

For many years, GED instruction was offered elsewhere in the community. Community Baptist Church is honored to provide a space where students can pursue educational goals in a welcoming and supportive environment. Classes are held in the educational wing adjacent to the church gymnasium, creating a comfortable setting for learning and personal growth.

The program is led by experienced educators Daisy Eckels and Ryan Eckels, who are passionate about helping students achieve success. Through individualized instruction and flexible scheduling, students receive the support they need to complete their educational journey and build a brighter future.

In addition to GED preparation and testing, services include:

  • English Language Learning (ELL) instruction
  • Workforce readiness and job skills training
  • College preparation and academic refresher courses
  • Customized training opportunities for local employers and employees

To accommodate working adults, the center offers extended evening hours on Mondays and additional appointment availability as needed.

Community Baptist Church believes education can transform lives, strengthen families, and create new opportunities. We are grateful to partner with WKEC to serve our community and help individuals reach their personal, educational, and career goals.
