Youth Ministry
The Youth Ministry Is Restarting!
We are excited to announce the restart of Community Baptist Church’s Youth Ministry!
Kinley Lear and Mary Wrye will serve as the Leadership Team, and we are excited about what God has in store for our young people.
Kinley has already been doing the hard work. She reached out to students through a survey and received some wonderful, positive responses. After talking with the students about the best time to meet, they chose Wednesday nights!
Our Youth Ministry will begin Wednesday, October 14, at 7:00 p.m.
We will meet upstairs in the Youth Room.
We will begin with Middle School students, with plans to add a High School group as the ministry grows.
How Can You Help?
PRAY!
This is the most important thing you can do. Pray for Kinley and Mary, for the students who will attend, and for their parents and families. Pray that this ministry will help young people come to know Jesus, grow in their faith, and grow in body, mind, and spirit.
HELP WITH SNACKS!
Kids are hungry! We will have snacks each week, and we would love for members of our church family to help. Chips, Goldfish, pretzels, cookies, and other simple munchies are perfect. You can sign up for a Wednesday—or perhaps take the first Wednesday of each month.
SUPPORT THE MINISTRY!
Our church budget includes a Youth Ministry line item, and additional support will help us purchase supplies, Bible study materials, provide snacks, and plan outings. We would also love to begin saving toward a future youth mission trip.
INVITE A STUDENT!
If you know a Middle School student who would enjoy connecting with a church youth group, please tell them about us! We would love to welcome them.
GET INVOLVED!
This is a Community Baptist Youth Ministry, and it will take all of us working together. If you feel God leading you to get involved, please pray about it, then come talk with Kinley or Mary Wrye.
We are excited about this new beginning and, most of all, excited about the opportunity to invest in the lives of our young people.
Keep watching our church communications for updates—and please help us spread the word!
As the movie title says… we will EAT, PRAY, LOVE!
